Courtesy of Pseron Wyrd and
others: ************************************************************** 'There are eleven: 1):Dongle's 'Ranger's Equipment'. If you're looking for the best-looking quiver ever made for MW you need go no further than this excellent mod. The quiver in this modder's resource is so well-made, so good-looking it would not look out of place in 'Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion'. It's that good. Don't believe me? Download it and take a look at this superb creation yourself. Quivers just don't get any better than this, not even in real life. http://www.deffeyes.com/cgi-bin/download.cgi?RangerEquipment 2): Farrp's 'Quivers and Fletching 2.5' mod, which adds four quivers which occupy a clothing slot, freeing up the player's left pauldron (a somewhat controversial feature found in version 2.0). And, if that weren't enough, this mod also allows the player to fletch arrows. Quiver mesh by Snakebitten. http://www.morrowind4kids.com/pseronwyrd/files/FarrpsMods/Quivers%20and%20Fletching%20Kit 3): 'Suran Archery Tradehouse 3.0', which sells a selection of arrows, bows (by the incomparable Zyndaar) and two of Snakebitten's quivers, modified to add the left pauldron for each of the original armors. http://www.euro-rpg.com/index.php?section=plugin&code=05&id=4963 4): Snakebitten's 'Firefly Armor', which adds crossed swords and a quiver of arrows to its cuirass. http://www.euro-rpg.com/index.php?section=plugin&code=05&id=2593 5): 'Quiver of Misty Moon' by Misty Moon, which gives Snakebitten's ubiquitous quiver model a racier, zebra-like retexture. http://morrowind4kids.com/pseronwyrd/Quiver.of.Misty.Moon-v1.1.zip 6) Kieve's 'Void Assassin Gear' a well-made, great-looking set of light armor that comes with a nice retexture of Snakebitten's quiver. http://www.euro-rpg.com/index.php?section=plugin&code=05&id=4636 7): 'Ranger's Robe' by Dark Rebis, which adds a cool green robe with an integral backpack and a quiver of arrows. http://morrowind4kids.com/pseronwyrd/Dark%20Rebis%20Mods/Ranger%20Robe.rar 8): 'Bottomless Quiver 4.33' by Glassboy, a quiver which allows you to summon unlimited arrows/bolts (as long as you have enough magicka for the types of quarrels that you choose). Quiver mesh by Archieopterix. http://morrowind4kids.com/pseronwyrd/Bottomless%20Quiver.zip [Edit: end quote] 9) Also samuraidoykins' Kyodin Armor v.1.3 and v.2.0, which gives us one of Snakebitten's 10-arrow quivers (uncredited) attached to a right pauldron. http://www.euro-morrowind.com/index.php?section=plugin&code=05&id=3263 http://www.tesmods.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=UpDownload&file=index&req=getit&lid=1033 http://www.tesmods.net/modules.php?op=modload&name=UpDownload&file=index&req=getit&lid=1034 10) And now, 'Corv's Ultimate Ranger Mod 2.0' http://www.elderscrolls.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4870 11) Magic Missile Ammo' by Qwert http://www.thelys.org/mods/Magical_Missile_Ammo_Mod.ace Updated: 2 Feb 05 ************************************************************** If I have missed any, please post them here. Ronin, are you planning to have a separate list for
bows or expand this to cover both? Generally the audience for the two is
the same and some of the mods duplicate also. P.S. From watching what ppl post when they mean to ask for quivers...you might call this theme: Quivers or Sacky Things That Hold Arrows On Your Back. :P This post has been edited by DoomedMarauder: Sep 12 2004, 01:52 PM -------------------- Mod links & resources by Ronin49 and

I started an archive/resource page for this
thread: http://www.zyworld.com/redwoodtreesprite/MMRD/ModLists/Quiver_Mods.htm I'll update it daily, and will get pics of each quiver up on the page in a few days. But I need to get a bunch more archiving done first. If anyone has pics of the quivers that would be OK to use, post a link here or pm me for my email address. (Haven't gotten my profile info all entered yet here...) -------------------- |

Comments briefly and thanks to those who are adding
quivers and sacky things to this interim list: dongle - I had seen those beautiful quivers elsewhere and simply forgot them, apologies and thanks. Can you clarify whether these are modders' resources please, as redwoodtreesprite and I are going to end up sorting these into two piles I suspect? *waves to esteemed colleague*. Could other posters of modding resources do the same, please? DoomedMarauder - I had and continue to have NO intention of having a 'quiver list' or 'bow list' or the like. This was thrown up in a small instance of pique and frustration with a number of no doubt exceedingly fine human beings who nevertheless seem unable, either congenitally or through atrophy, to find either Scroll or Search and yet expect to load mods, meh! :) [We do need a tongue in cheek icon.] So, this is a stopgap tool for the use of me and thee and everyone else to post to this seemingly endless series of 'quivering questions'. After all, Pseron Wyrd, from whom it is blatantly and openly stolen, cannot be guarding the gate with the ol' 'cut-and-paste' for 24 and 7. It is also a 'quiver collecting tool' while I get around to the theme list that I do intend to put together:that is a list of mods for Marksmen, or Markspersons if I must! It will be more like the Mage and Monk/Unarmoured Lists. That is - it will include appropriate references, factions, game improvements, items and clothing, weapons etc etc on a pattern similar to the other theme lists being developed at Mythic Mods. I see it including: bows, arrows, quivers, other missile weapons and so on, in the relevant category but not being restricted to 'things'. I try not to do purely 'thing' lists as that is what Search should be for. Finally, if they do not know what a quiver is, then they do not need one. There are some limits. Matthew_Kaine - Thanks but, no, I did not forget it: I left it off intentionally while I sort out where the line is for inclusion with this stuff. Normally, I would not put on a list, mods that incidentally provide an item but are really much, much more or focused elsewhere. I mean anyone loading BE for the quivers needs to rethink their approach to mod selection, in my opinion. And if this is all a little 'muddy' at the moment, that's because it is an 'interim' list, like what it says - think beta and it works. Thank you for including BE though as it will no doubt be useful to some. :) redwoodtreesprite - Thanks. It is a pleasure working with you, as I see more and more. Pick out what you need for resources, most I would think, and when I eventually get to the real list I will select out the relevant mods, having figured out where the 'inclusion line' is by then. Make sense? Thanks all and please tag on any others that we have missed, however obscure. I do not intend to be commenting this interim list a lot as that takes time away from catching up on the 'list business' which has unavoidably suffered lately from other causes. Please feel free to use this thread, add to it and generally keep it alive. Thanks. There is one other thing small thing, of course. Do folk generally figure that marksman/ranger would go together in a single Theme List or apart in separate lists? This post has been edited by Ronin49: Sep 12 2004, 03:47 PM -------------------- |

thing, of course. Do folk generally figure that marksman/ranger would go
together in a single Theme List or apart in separate lists? To strictly answer your question, I think any ranger would be interested in marksman mods. There will be, however, some classes that are interested in marksmanship mods that are not rangers. A marksman/woman/person assassin wouldn't be interested in camping gear that a ranger would want. Perhaps you could handle this by having single Marksman/Ranger theme, with marksman mods at the beginning and other ranger mod categories below. With a large, "Assassins: Do not enter sign" between the two. -------------------- Mod links & resources by Ronin49 and

alright now...Ronin 'talked me down' in a PM...I apologize to everyone for
my little 'episode'. The fleeting vision of a life that did not contain

in, I'm beginning to feel mellow once more. Thanks everyone for your

The 'Bottomless Quiver' was created by the lovely and
talented Archieopterix and the'Ranger Robe' quiver, such as it is, was
created by the lovely and talented DarkRebis. Neither the 'Kyodin Armor'
nor the 'Ranger Mod' credit the equally talented and lovely Snakebitten
for his quivers (tsk tsk!). This post has been edited by Pseron Wyrd: Sep 13 2004, 05:55 AM -------------------- |

Hi Ronin, Beeing the beta tester of Ultimate Ranger mod 2 I had to check all the quiver functions in Morrowind mods. As Pseron's list is not fully corect, just a few issues I would like to pinpoit: - Farrps mod does not introduce quivers, which occupy clothing slot (as stated in the readme). If you ever try Farrp's quivers you find them really buggy - they replace a pauldron and often a gountlet itself. Moreover, taking into consideration that they are AR free, Farrp's quivers can be easly called the worst choise for an archer. Farrp's quivers have one nice feature though, the script for counting your arrows. It would be good to stop repeting all the time this incorect info from the Farrp's readme about clothing slot. - The packsack and quiver from the Ranger Robe are just for looks, beeing the integral part of the robe ( no AR, no enchanting etc ). - 4 Snakebittens quivers (vide pre Peter' Lab) are separate from the Fire Fly Armor, beeing used as the standard pattern for quiver model in such a mods like e.g Ultimate Ranger Mod 2. The list misses one important mod - Magic Missile Ammo mod v. 3.7 by Qwert, to be found on TheLys. If you make such a list maybe it would be also a good idea to include here some fletcher mods e.g. Fletcher2 mod, or New Chem War mod?. It should be mentioned that 'Kyodin Armor' and the
'Ultimate Ranger mod 2.0' use Snakebitten's quiver model. And neither mod
credits Snakebitten. Since my original list cited mesh creators the info
should probably be included in this list too for consistency. And, try as I might, I can find no quiver in 'Magic Missle Ammo'. Maybe can tell me where it's hiding? This post has been edited by Pseron Wyrd: Oct 6 2004, 04:35 PM -------------------- |

I do not know what version you use, but the newest one is at TheLys. There are total 4 quivers: dragon skin, guar skin, dwemer, and leather (?- do not remember now). All to be bought at Fletcher's Friend in Balmora. I really do not know why you can not see them as they hang nicely on the main wall ^_^. If memory serves me well they are all AR-ted. To make sure we are talking about the same version I
downloaded the version at TheLys and examined it in the CS. Nothing. I
don't see quivers listed under 'Details' and I don't see quivers hanging
on the walls of the shop or displayed on the counters or worn by NPCs. The
mod does not add any armor objects to the gameworld. Quivers aren't
mentioned in the readme. If there are quivers in this mod they are
exceptionally well hidden. This post has been edited by Pseron Wyrd: Oct 6 2004, 05:50 PM -------------------- |

Perhaps a notation that Faarp's quivers can be found
in Balmora Expansion and the Bottomless Quiver is a reward in the quest
mod "Chu-bran's Treasure?"

You are right. The name of the mod is Alchemical Warfare now, made by Shanjaq. And the newest version is v. 1.8 -------------------- MY MODS FOR TADDEUS' BALANCING SYSTEM http://www.elderscrolls.phx.pl/___________________________________ Sunsi: "Beeing powerful is like beeing a lady, if you need to tell it to people, then you are not" |

QUOTE(Pseron Wyrd @ Oct 6 2004, 05:57 PM)
To make sure we are talking about
the same version I downloaded the version at TheLys and examined it in the
CS. Nothing. I don't see quivers listed under
'Details' and I don't see quivers hanging on the walls of the shop
or displayed on the counters or worn by NPCs. The mod does not add
any armor objects to the gameworld. Quivers aren't mentioned in the
readme. If there are quivers in this mod they are exceptionally well
hidden. This is the readme of MMAM, the newest version is 3,7. Starting from version 3,5 old quivers by Snakebitten and Farrp, aditionally armored, have been added, I quote: "*Added quivers(farrp/snakebitten) to the fletchers friend(these are just cosmetic things;no scripts attached). -credits: *farrp *snakebitten" Aparently my my poor memory does not serve me well, as at Thelys one can find only old 3.4 version, thus the quiver list should be corrected. The version I use - 3.7 is on Euro-Morrowind as well. My friend tells me that probably on TheLys, during changing the site, the new version has not been included/ Magic Missile Ammo Mod Version 3.7 Directions: Put all the folder's into their approriate folder's,click Magic Missile Ammo Mod in the launcher. Updated(10/06/02) ver 2.7(final) *Added more ingredients into the fletcher recipes replacing ingredients i had doubles or triples of,giving some more value to the ingredients. *Added a fletcher recipe(script)that will allow you to fletch a marksman weapon of you your choosen type(bow,x-bow,dart,star,& knife),a quest is involved which begins in The Fletcher's Friend. *5 new textures for the above mentioneded recipes. Updated(09/30/02) ver 2.5 *the player now has the ability to fletch all the enchanted ammo types in any of their forms which are arrows, bolts, darts, throwing stars, and throwing knives. *The fletchery is dependent upon the skills of marksman, alchemy, and enchant(for the really powerfull items). *Fletching the items put a drain on your life force dependent on the power of the item. *Ive implemented Lady E's fletcher kits and the appear in various style(lesser, normal, superb, master, and grandmaster)for sale at the fletchers friend. * the creator of the Darliandor's Alchemy Lab web site,i used this to search for the imgeredients that matched the effects of the items. ******thanks to Horatio for his advice. Now only the weakest enchanted items can be bought in The fletchers friend. If other mods that alter the existing leveled items list is used it is recommended to merge with this one,Horatio has an excellent utility for this listed on the official forums. Updated(09/16/02)- Version 2.2: 1)Added a new pricing system based on number of enchantments, area of effect, and duration. 2)Added 4 new enchantments affecting all missile items. 3)Added(with 8 new textures): Replenishing Bows And Crossbows. The Protector Bows and Crossbows. Eagle Eye Bows And Crossbows. Bows and Crossbow of Quickness. Updated(08/30/2002)- It was brought to my attention that the location of The Fletcher's Friend was located the same spot as another mod, therefore I have moved it ....it is now close to the council club by the stairs. This is my final update as i wish to play the game now after starting over repeatedly. This version adds a new shop to Balmora called The Fletcher's Friend who is run by a new npc named Jerik.Magical Ammo can be bought here but only if your high enough level. Credits: While most of this was done by me it wouldnt have been possible if a few people on the net didnt take time to explain things to me and inspire me The Cur and ModMan. Arkenor from dragonsight for cleaning the esp. Intelligentsia for his ground breaking work on the marksman mod. Horatio for his script knowledge and his patience with helping me through problems. How about a list of how these quivers can be
obtained? Two that i've downloaded don't say where to find
them. Ranger Robe, and the 'Assassin' one. -------------------- |
